The procedure establishes the way in which teaching positions in higher education obtained at accredited foreign higher education institutions, as provided in the annex of OM 5922/15.12.2016, are automatically recognized by the Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu-Jiu.

The procedure applies to Romanian citizens and citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation who have obtained teaching positions in:

- accredited institutions in the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the Swiss Confederation;

- accredited institutions included in the “List of prestigious universities in other countries,” approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated, for the purpose of employment in Romania;

Teaching positions obtained at other accredited higher education institutions than those previously mentioned are recognized only on the basis of a mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.

The automatic recognition of teaching positions obtained abroad may apply in the case of participation in a competition for a teaching position or other teaching activities carried out within the Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu-Jiu.

Only in the case of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and art. 296 paragraphs (1) and (2) of Law no. 1 of 2011 of National Education apply directly.

Occupying a teaching position in the Romanian system of higher education is carried out in accordance with the legal norms in force.
