Suspension of membership status occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons, wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the territorial College headquarters a request for suspension of membership status. When requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and must fulfill the condition of continuous professional training by completing 40 EFC hours during the respective period.
The pharmacist is obliged to inform the Romanian College of Pharmacists within 30 days from resuming their activity.

The legislation does not contain special provisions regarding remedies in case of dispute, the common law provisions being applicable.
