This procedure establishes the manner in which the “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Timișoara (UMFVBT) recognizes doctoral diplomas and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained abroad by Romanian citizens, citizens of Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries.

Recognition by UMFVBT is carried out for the purpose of enrolling in postgraduate study programs, obtaining habilitation, occupying a teaching or research position within UMFVBT, participating in programs and projects funded by European and international funds, or for other purposes related to teaching and research activities within UMFVBT.

The Rector's decision not to recognize the doctoral diploma and the title of Doctor of Science may be challenged only once, within 60 days from the date of notification, by submitting a motivated request at the UMFVBT Registry or by e-mail to doctorat@umft.ro.
