This procedure establishes the method by which the “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara (UMFVBT) recognizes doctoral diplomas and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained abroad by Romanian citizens, citizens of European Union member states, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries.

The recognition by UMFVBT is carried out for the purpose of enrollment in postgraduate study programs, obtaining habilitation, occupying a teaching or research position within UMFVBT, participating in programs and projects financed by European and international funds, or for other purposes related to teaching and research activity within UMFVBT.

The Rector's decision not to recognize the doctoral diploma and the title of Doctor of Science may be contested only once, within 60 days from notification, through a motivated request, which shall be submitted to the UMFVBT Registry or by e-mail, at the address doctorat@umft.ro.
