The purpose of this methodology is to establish the method for the automatic recognition, at the level of the “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara (hereinafter referred to as UMFVBT), of academic teaching positions in higher education obtained at accredited higher education institutions abroad. The automatic recognition of academic teaching positions in higher education obtained at accredited higher education institutions abroad is carried out based on the Higher Education Law no. 199/2023, with subsequent amendments and additions, Law no. 183/2024 regarding the status of research, development and innovation personnel, Law no. 200/2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, as well as the Order of the Minister of Education no. 6753/2023 for the approval of the Methodology on the automatic recognition, by higher education institutions, of academic teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad.

UMFVBT is an accredited higher education institution according to the legislation in force and, as such, automatically recognizes academic teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and prestigious higher education institutions from other countries included in the List of Prestigious Universities from other countries, approved by the Order of the Minister of Education no. 4002/2024, updated periodically.

The provisions of this order apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries. Occupying a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system is carried out according to the legal regulations in force.
