Details

The issuance of the Occasional Practice Authorization on the territory of Romania, required for carrying out occasional medical activities by doctors who are citizens of a third country, is conducted in accordance with Law no. 95/2006 on health sector reform with subsequent amendments and completions and Decision no. 13/2025 of the National Council of the Romanian College of Physicians on the issuance of the temporary/occasional practice authorization for foreign doctors

The duration of exercising professional activities in these cases is 3 months, with the possibility of extension for a maximum of another 3 months per year.

The authorization is issued within 30 calendar days from the date of submission of the complete documentation.

The authorization is issued in 3 copies, one of which will be handed to the applicant doctor, one will be sent to the territorial college in the county where the doctor is to carry out their activity, and one will be filed in the applicant doctor's dossier.
