Persons entitled to benefit from the services of the social assistance canteen, and whose income exceeds the net monthly income level for a single person, calculated for the granting of social assistance, may benefit from these services by paying a contribution of 30% of income per person, without exceeding the cost of meals served, calculated for the same period.
Meals at the social assistance canteen are granted based on a self-declaration request, accompanied by supporting documents regarding the family composition, the income earned in the month prior to submitting the request by its members, and the assets owned, including those in other administrative-territorial units.
For the social services of the social assistance canteen, able-bodied persons in the beneficiary's family must perform monthly 48 hours of actions or work of local interest, without exceeding the normal work regime; failure to fulfill this obligation leads to cessation of meal provision at the social canteen, and if the beneficiary does not show up, without justified reasons, more than three consecutive days at the canteen headquarters to serve or pick up meals, the right to meals is suspended.
