Details
Women who are part of a vulnerable category and who have given birth starting from April 12, 2024, can benefit from social vouchers worth 2,000 lei, which can be used to purchase products intended for newborn care.
The age of up to three months of the newborn is verified at the time of identifying the mother/newborn pair by the Oradea Social Assistance Directorate and their inclusion in specific lists. The Oradea Social Assistance Directorate identifies, prepares, and assumes, through the signature of the legal representative, the lists of final recipients, separately highlighting the category of final recipients.
The following categories of persons are considered eligible and can benefit, upon request, from electronic social vouchers:
- Mothers who benefit from minimum inclusion income;
- Mothers with disabilities;
- Mothers in critical situations (calamities, domestic violence, etc.);
- Mothers without identification documents;
- Underage mothers;
- Mothers who are foreign citizens or stateless from conflict areas.
The electronic social voucher for newborns can be used only on Romanian territory, within the validity period, and only for the purchase of newborn care products for which it was issued. Newborn care products represent specific items of the newborn trousseau, necessary for the care of the newborn, respectively: diapers, newborn hygiene products, newborn clothing items, sanitary and medical items for the mother/newborn pair.
