In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of General Nurses, Midwives and Medical Assistants of Romania, as the competent authority, prepares and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the professional recognition of Romanian qualifications of general nurse, midwife and medical assistant, in the other EU Member States.

The activities of certifying Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife and medical assistant, in the other EU Member States consist in the preparation and issuance of documents, hereinafter referred to as certification documents, used by the authorities of the other EU member states, countries belonging to the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation for the purpose of professional recognition of these titles according to the procedures provided for by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, as amended and supplemented.Where applicable, the certification documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online requests for the issuance of documents necessary for the professional recognition of the aforementioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the corresponding documents, are sent via PCUe to the county branch / Bucharest Municipality branch of OAMGMAMR, of which the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT acquired the status of OAMGMAMR member, the application is submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch in whose territorial jurisdiction the applicant resides.

If the applicant does not attach all the requested documents or the file is found to be incomplete, the applicant will be notified via the PCUe system. Within 15 days from notification, the applicant is required to complete the file with all requested documents. If the applicant does not meet the deadline for completion, upon its expiration, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.

The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the level of the specialty structure of the OAMGMAMR National, and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, will be sent online to the applicants via PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR to which they submitted the electronic file.
