Equivalence of university-level diplomas obtained by Romanian citizens abroad - procedure for educational institutions

This procedure applies exclusively to higher education institutions in Romania that submit the candidates' files for one of the study programs they offer.

All requests will be accompanied by a Forwarding Note electronically signed by a representative of the institution.

The files submitted under this procedure will contain all the necessary documents as presented on the CNRED web pages, namely:

Equivalence of short-term university studies and bachelor's degrees completed abroad by Romanian citizens

Appeal routes

The CNRED decision can be appealed, only once, within 45 working days from the date of notification. CNRED will decide within 60 working days. The processing time may be extended in justified cases, with the applicant being notified in writing, by postal services or electronic mail.
