Legal entities and authorized individuals who wish to include in their object of activity any of the operations with weapons, parts, and essential components thereof, as well as ammunition, provided for in art. 105 of the Law, must apply in advance, upon establishment or, as the case may be, upon modification or extension of the object of activity. To obtain the authorization, the applicant submits a request accompanied by the necessary documents to the General Directorate of Police of the Municipality of Bucharest or to the county police inspectorate in whose territorial area they have their headquarters or place of business. Based on the approval obtained, the legal entity or authorized individual becomes a gunsmith by following the legal procedures for establishment or, as the case may be, those regarding the extension or modification of the object of activity.*
