Individuals authorized to possess lethal arms and ammunition, as well as legal entities authorized to possess or use lethal arms or non-lethal arms subject to authorization, may deposit for safekeeping, temporarily or permanently, the arms and ammunition they possess with an authorized gunsmith or when changing the location where these are stored. To obtain the authorization, the applicant submits a request accompanied by the necessary documents to the General Directorate of Police of Bucharest Municipality or to the county police inspectorate in whose territorial area they have their domicile or residence. The transport authorization is issued with a validity of 5 days, which can be extended by the authority that issued it, once for the same period, upon request, in justified cases.*
