Social vouchers for kindergarten are granted to children from disadvantaged families who participate in activities organized within preschool education units and who are at risk of both dropping out and not attending preschool classes, due to limited access to economic resources and education. The minimum monthly nominal value of the educational incentive, granted in the form of social vouchers for kindergarten, is 50 lei/month.
The social voucher for kindergarten is granted to children from disadvantaged families if the following criteria are cumulatively met:
- the child is enrolled in a preschool education unit, and the monthly income per family member is up to twice the level of the minimum guaranteed income for a single person, as provided by Law no. 416/2001 regarding the minimum guaranteed income, with subsequent amendments and completions.
