This procedure describes the process of submitting the file with the necessary documents for participation in the admission competition for undergraduate studies for international candidates (EU and non-EU citizens), fee-based studies in foreign currency in Romanian / French / English languages.

Legalized copies - authenticated by the relevant authorities of the issuing country, of the high school / pre-university transcripts. If the transcripts are not written in an international language of circulation - English or French, they must be translated and legalized in one of the aforementioned international languages. The admission criterion will only take into consideration the last two years of pre-university studies, except for the final year, and the fact that the average of the two years of pre-university studies considered is at least equivalent to 6 in the decimal system (conversion of results from other school evaluation systems to the decimal system will be done using the rule of three; for example, for the 1-20 grading system, averages above 12 will be considered, while for the 1-100 grading system, averages above 60 will be considered).*

Copies of pages 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the passport. In the case of candidates from countries belonging to the European Union, they may submit a copy of the Identity Card instead of the passport copy. Both the passport and the identity card must be valid for at least 9 months after the start of the academic year. If the candidate has multiple passports/identity cards issued by different countries, copies of all these documents must be submitted in the file, the candidate indicating the citizenship/passport/identity document used for the admission competition.*

The linguistic competence certificate, minimum level B2, for the language in which they choose to study, according to Annex 1 - scanned. For the study program in Romanian, foreign citizens who present the certificate of graduation from the Romanian language preparatory year program or those who present Romanian study documents (diplomas and certificates) or study documents, school records certifying at least three consecutive years of studies followed in Romanian are exempted from the obligation to present the linguistic competence certificate; Citizens of countries where the official language is: Romanian (Romania, Republic of Moldova) French (France, Democratic Republic of Congo, Canada, Madagascar, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Niger, Senegal, Mali, Belgium, Rwanda, Chad, Guinea, Haiti, Burundi, Benin, Switzerland, Togo, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Gabon, Comoros, Equatorial Guinea, Djibouti, Luxembourg, Vanuatu, Seychelles, Monaco) and English (South Africa, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Cameroon, Dominica, Fiji, Philippines, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, India, Falkland Islands, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Liberia, Malaysia, Malta, United Kingdom, Mauritius, Micronesia, Montserrat, Namibia, Nauru, Nigeria, New Zealand, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Samoa, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Sierra Leone, Singapore, United States of America, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Zambia, Zimbabwe) are exempted from this requirement for the study program in that language. If the candidate possesses linguistic competencies for more than one of the languages for which the admission process is organized at the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iași, it is mandatory to upload all these proofs and mention these competencies in the digital admission application.*

Baccalaureate Diploma*

Baccalaureate diploma for candidates who are high school graduates at the time of enrollment and the transcript for the last year of high school studies, legalized copies (in Romanian, French or English). Candidates who are in their final year of high school may upload the diploma later, on a date established by the admission contest calendar. Candidates who have passed the baccalaureate exam (or equivalent) in the sessions corresponding to the 2026-2027 school year may present, instead of the baccalaureate diploma, a graduation certificate issued by the high school, which must obligatorily specify: the subjects for which they took the final exam and the grades obtained, the validity period of the certificate, the statement that the baccalaureate diploma (or equivalent) has not been issued, and the deadline for its issuance. We mention that the original diploma must be submitted no later than the beginning of the second semester of the first year of studies. If the candidate’s first and last names on the baccalaureate diploma are not identical to the first and last names appearing on his or her birth certificate or passport, the candidate is required to submit a notarized explanatory note.*

Appeal routes

Following the evaluation of the files and the interview, candidates will be ranked by faculties and study programs according to their score. Admitted candidates will be notified by email, the confirmation message being automatically generated by the admission platform.

The results will be posted on the university’s website (www.umfiasi.ro) as a provisional list of potentially admitted candidates.

Any appeals can be submitted within the first 24 hours after the provisional results are posted, with the mention that the interview is eliminatory and cannot be contested.

After the resolution of the appeals, the final list will be displayed.
