Bistrita Nasaud College of Pharmacists*

In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Membership Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists of Bucharest, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania.

Resumption of membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, through which they request the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before the transfer note is issued, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay up to date the membership fee owed to the college they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the pharmacists' record register (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm) the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If a complaint has been filed against the pharmacist at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring, or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be forwarded to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, upon making an express request in this regard, meet the following conditions: they hold an official pharmacy qualification, are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility stipulated by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid to the territorial college account RO68BTRL00301205252035XX in the amount of 208 lei for those who registered within 1 YEAR of graduation and 235 lei for the other persons).

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Application Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the chief position) shall address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for preparation and issuance of the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 dated 15.05.2007.

Below, we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007 as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate shall be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;

- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard application form to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the preparation and issuance of the document;

- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the application, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;

- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare and send it to the territorial college;

- The territorial college will prepare a Registry of records – with identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will hand them over to the applicants with a signed receipt.

The issuance fee for the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College ACCOUNT RO68BTRL00601205252035XX.

For obtaining the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file that will include the documents attached below.

The suspension of membership is made when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the territorial College a request by which they ask for the suspension of membership. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee until the end of the year and must meet the condition of continuous professional education by completing 40 EFC hours during that period.

The pharmacist is obliged to inform the Romanian College of Pharmacists within 30 days of resuming activity.
