In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of Nurses, Midwives, and Medical Assistants of Romania, as the competent authority, drafts and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the recognition for professional purposes of Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant in other EU Member States.
Activities for certifying Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant in other EU Member States consist of preparing and issuing documents, hereinafter referred to as certification documents, used by the authorities of the other EU member states, the states belonging to the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation in order to recognize these titles according to the procedures provided by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, as subsequently amended and supplemented. Where appropriate, the certification documents are certificates or recommendations.
Online applications for the issuance of documents necessary for the recognition for professional purposes of the above-mentioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the relevant documents, shall be sent via PCUe to the county branch/ Municipality of Bucharest branch of OAMGMAMR of which the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT acquired membership of OAMGMAMR, the application shall be submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch in whose territorial area the applicant resides.
If the applicant does not attach all required documents or it is found that the file is incomplete, the applicant will be notified via the PCUe system. Within 15 days from notification, the applicant is required to complete the file with all requested documents. If the applicant does not respect the completion deadline, upon its expiration, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.
The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the level of the specialty structure of OAMGMAMR National, and within 90 days of registering the complete electronic file, will be sent online to applicants via PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR to which they submitted the electronic file.
