Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

According to the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 with subsequent amendments and completions, as well as its Application Norms, approved by OMS no.444/2019, with subsequent amendments and completions, the current professional certificate is obtained at the request of the pharmacist, being necessary to occupy the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit or to practice the profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for drafting and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council no. 1/2007, amended and supplemented by Decisions no. 2/2019 and no.1/15.09.2023.

To obtain the current professional certificate, the pharmacist will submit or send electronically to the territorial college of which he or she is a member the standard request, as well as the documents below, if these have not already been submitted and registered at the territorial college of which he or she is a member.

The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and released by the territorial college with which the applicant is registered;

The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue.

Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard application for drafting and issuing the document; within a maximum of 10 days from receiving the application, C.F.R. will draft the certificate and send it to the territorial college via the dedicated electronic platform.

The territorial college will keep a Register of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists from the respective county.

The current professional certificate will be handed to the applicants electronically (e-mail with confirmation of receipt) or at the headquarters, under signature of receipt.

The issuance fee for the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 150 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO05 BRDE 120S V093 4312 1200

Suspension of membership occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, or via electronic means, the standard request form by which they request the suspension of their membership status. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have the membership fee paid up to the end of the year and must meet the requirement of continuous professional training with a number of EFC hours corresponding to the period up to the submission of the request.

The pharmacist is obligated to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania - the territorial branch in which they will be active, within 30 days from resuming their activity.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay in full the membership fee owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed over to the applicant under signature or sent by electronic means. In the pharmacist registry (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If a complaint has been registered against the pharmacist at the college from which they are transferring or if a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint and the disciplinary file will be forwarded to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

Note: If the requested documents below (except for the application) have previously been submitted to the Călărași College of Pharmacists, they do not need to be attached to the application.

The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, upon express request, fulfill the following conditions: hold an official pharmacy qualification title, are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is to be paid into the territorial college account RO05 BRDE 120S V093 4312 1200, amounting to 10% of the minimum wage, on the date of the request).

In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Membership Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit or send electronically to the Călărași College of Pharmacists the standard request form and the complete documentation, according to Decision no. 4/2004, amended and supplemented by Decision no. 2/24.11.2022, of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania.

All documents must be signed and bear the note "Certified copy of the original". The fee of 150 lei must be paid into the account of the College of Pharmacists of Romania:
