The request for the current professional CPC certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to clarify the following:
In accordance with the provisions of Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 as consolidated and published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Application Rules published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position), must address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
In accordance with the provisions of Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 as consolidated and published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Application Rules published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position), must address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country’s borders.
The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;
- Within a maximum of three days from the receipt of the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard application for preparing and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from the receipt of the application, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania who will prepare and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records—with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in that county—and will hand them over to the applicants under signature of receipt.
The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, shall be paid into the account of the territorial College RO45BRDE410SV26208314100.
The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records—with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in that county—and will hand them over to the applicants under signature of receipt.
The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, shall be paid into the account of the territorial College RO45BRDE410SV26208314100.
To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist shall submit to the territorial college a file which will include the documents attached below.

Registration with the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
The member certificate is granted to pharmacists who, by making a specific request in this regard, meet the following conditions: hold an official pharmacy qualification, are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the territorial college account RO45BRDE410SV26208314100 in the amount of 208 lei for persons who registered within 1 YEAR of graduation and 235 lei for others).

Suspension of membership*
The suspension of membership is done when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the local College headquarters, namely the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, a request through which they ask for the suspension of membership. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee until the end of the year and must meet the condition of continuous professional training with a number of 40 EFC hours for the respective period.
In support of the requests, the documents listed below are attached.
The pharmacist undertakes to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days from the resumption of activity.

Pharmacist transfer*
The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay up to date the dues owed to the college they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the pharmacist record register (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If a complaint has been registered at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring, or if a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be transmitted to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

Duplicate membership certificate*
In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate of the Certificate of Membership of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation to the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no.4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the documents presented below.

Resumption of membership*
The reinstatement of membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, through which they request the reinstatement of membership starting from a certain date.
