Issuance of the Membership Certificate of the Romanian College of Physicians*

- The membership certificate of the Romanian College of Physicians is issued and released by the territorial college of the Romanian College of Physicians within whose jurisdiction the applicant physician has, as the case may be, their domicile/residence or workplace/the unit where they are to carry out their activity.

- The membership certificate of the Romanian College of Physicians is granted upon request, to the persons provided for in art. 376, para. (1) of Law no. 95/2006 regarding healthcare reform, republished, with subsequent amendments and completions, who cumulatively meet the following conditions:

a) hold an official qualification title in medicine, within the meaning of art. 377, para. (3) of Law no. 95/2006 regarding healthcare reform, republished, with subsequent amendments and completions;

b) are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided for by law;

c) are medically fit to practice as a physician;

d) have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained the bachelor's degree in the last 5 years.

Issuance of the Current Professional Certificate*

The issuance of the Current Professional Certificate is made based on Decision 14/2018 of the National Council of the Romanian College of Physicians.

The current professional certificate is issued by the Romanian College of Physicians, through the territorial college of the R.C.P. of which the doctor is or was a member, the data being valid for the period in which the doctor is or was registered with the respective college.

If the doctor was a member of the RCP in two or more territorial colleges, he/she will obtain a current professional certificate from each of these colleges.

For the issuance of the current professional certificate at the request of the holder doctor, he/she submits to the competent territorial college the following documents:

a) standard application;

b) proof of identity (certified copy "according to the original" of the identity card/passport);

c) proof of payment of the fee in the account of the territorial college issuing the document, the amount being established at the level of each territorial college by decision of the Council.

The documents can also be sent by postal or courier services, as well as by electronic means with digital signature.

The document will be issued within a maximum of 30 days from the date of submission of the complete documentation.

The current professional certificate is valid for a period of 3 months from the date of issue.
