Procedure for obtaining the CITES Permit – import/export/re-export*
Natural or legal persons who intend to carry out import, export or re-export activities with individuals belonging to species of wild flora and fauna listed in the annexes to Regulation (EC) No. 338/97, as amended and supplemented, on the protection of species of wild fauna and flora by regulating trade in them, hereinafter referred to as applicants, have the obligation to request the central public authority for environmental protection to issue the import/export permit or re-export certificate or the certificate required for the movement of live specimens of animal species included in Annex A to Regulation (EC) No. 338/97, as subsequently amended, or for exemptions from the prohibitions of commercial activities according to art. 8 of the same regulation, by completing the forms established by the European Community legislation on the protection of endangered species.

The procedure for obtaining the CITES Permit – circulation in the EU*
CITES Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. Natural or legal persons intending to carry out activities with individuals belonging to wild fauna and flora species listed in the annexes to Regulation (EC) No. 338/97, as amended and supplemented, concerning the protection of wild fauna and flora species by regulating trade with them, hereinafter referred to as applicants, are required to request the issuance of the necessary certificate from the central public authority for environmental protection for the movement of live specimens of animal species included in Annex A to Regulation (EC) No. 338/97, as subsequently amended, or for exceptions to the prohibition of commercial activities according to Article 8 of the same regulation, by completing the forms established by European Community legislation on the protection of endangered species.
