Ilfov Pharmacists’ College*

Resumption of membership is done based on an application, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Ilfov College of Pharmacists, by which they request the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before the transfer note is issued, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay the dues owed to the college they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed over to the applicant, under signature. In the register of pharmacists (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If a complaint has been registered at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring or if a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be transmitted to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, by making an express request to this effect, meet the following conditions: they hold an official pharmacy qualification, are not in any cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree within the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the territorial college's account in the amount of 208 lei for those who registered within 1 YEAR of graduation and 235 lei for all other persons).

The suspension of membership occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits a request at the headquarters of the territorial College, specifically the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, requesting the suspension of membership. At the time when this suspension is requested, the pharmacist must have paid their membership fee up to the end of the year and must meet the continuous professional training requirement with a number of 40 EFC hours for that period.

The pharmacist is obligated to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days after resuming activity.

In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Member Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, as presented below.

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

According to the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 part I, as well as the application norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishing new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will assume the position), will address county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for drawing up and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, a decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below, we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate will be drawn up by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;

- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college shall send the standard application to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the preparation and issuance of the document;

- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, C.F.R. will draw up the certificate and send it to the territorial college;

- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania which will prepare it and forward it to the territorial college;

- The territorial college will prepare a Registry of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will hand them over to the applicants with signed receipt.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO87BTRLRONCRT0422824001.
