Authorization for organizing world, European, and regional championships on the territory of Romania.*
Procedure for obtaining authorization to organize world, European, and regional championships on the territory of Romania. The documents will be submitted by the national sports federations. The deadline for submitting the documentation is at least 15 calendar days before the date of the competition.
*Prior approval required for the authorization and conduct on the territory of Romania of world, European and regional championships and for the participation of national representatives in world, European and regional championships organized abroad*
Procedure for prior approval issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports required for entering negotiations with international sports bodies regarding the acceptance of the candidacy of national sports federations to organize official sports competitions in Romania - world, European, or regional championships.
The documentation must be submitted in the year prior to the competition, at least 15 calendar days before the deadline set by the international sports body for submitting candidacies or, as appropriate, according to the decisions of the international bodies. In the event that international regulations do not provide for the submission of candidacies and/or the rotation principle is applied, national sports federations are obliged to request prior authorization in the year preceding the organization of the competition.
*Granting the titles of “Emeritus Master of Sport”, “Master of Sport”, and “Emeritus Coach”*
The awarding of the titles "Emeritus Sports Master," "Sports Master," and "Emeritus Coach" is done at the proposal of the national sports federations to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and is granted to Romanian athletes and coaches who have achieved outstanding results in official national and international competitions.
Registration of amendments to the articles of incorporation and/or statutes of sports organizations.*
Procedure for registering amendments to the articles of incorporation and/or the statute and articles of incorporation/society contract/disposition act of sports structures. The application deadline is 15 days from the occurrence of the changes. Sports clubs notify the Ministry of Youth and Sports within 30 days of any change regarding the practice of sports disciplines provided in the articles of incorporation and in the statute, for the modifications to be recorded in the Sports Registry.
*Issuance of sports identity certificates*
Procedure for issuing the operating permit, the establishment approval, and the sports identity certificates required for sports structures with legal personality. Registration in the Sports Register is based on the application, signed and stamped, submitted by the legal representative of each sports structure.
*Authorization for the participation of national teams in world, European, and regional championships organized abroad.*
Procedure for obtaining the authorization for participation of national teams in world, European, and regional championships organized abroad. The deadline for submitting the documentation is at least 15 calendar days before the date set for the delegation's departure to the respective international competition.
*Official recognition of the practice of a sport discipline in Romania.*
Procedure for the official recognition of practicing a sport discipline in Romania. The official recognition of practicing a sport discipline in Romania is granted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the request of its practitioners. The analysis and verification of the documentation accompanying the official recognition request is carried out by the committee appointed by order of the Minister of Youth and Sports.
*Approval of affiliation of national sports federations to international federations and to other continental or global bodies.*
Procedure regarding the approval of affiliation of national sports federations to international federations and to other continental or global bodies. Submission of documentation shall be made by national sports federations that are legal entities, constituted in accordance with the law and have the status of sports structures, respectively are holders of the Sports Identity Certificate.
*Awarding of merit allowance.*
Granting life annuity.*
The high-performance athlete who has won a gold, silver, or bronze medal in individual or team events at the Olympic Games, or a gold medal at the senior world and European championships in Olympic events, is entitled, upon request and with confirmation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to a lifetime pension. Following the athlete’s request, the Ministry of Youth and Sports forwards the request to the national sports federation, which, within 3 days, certifies:
- the applicant’s retirement from competitive activity;
- the achievements for which the lifetime pension is requested
The request, accompanied by the note from the national sports federation, is forwarded to the Romanian Olympic Committee which, within 3 days, certifies that the achievement was obtained in an Olympic event. The high-performance athlete who receives the lifetime pension is obliged to notify in writing, within 30 days, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of their return to official competitive activity as an active athlete.
*
