Issuance of duplicate membership certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Certificate of Membership of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, according to the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the documents presented below.
Suspension of membership*
The suspension of membership status occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits a request at the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the Valcea College of Pharmacists, requesting the suspension of membership status. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and meet the requirement of continuing professional education with a number of 40 EFC hours for the respective period.
The pharmacist is required to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days of resuming activity.
*Registration in the Vâlcea Pharmacists' College*
The membership certificate is awarded to pharmacists who, having made an express request to this effect, meet the following conditions: they hold an official pharmacy qualification, are not found in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice as a pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the account of the Valcea territorial college or at the institution's headquarters, amounting to 208 lei for persons who registered within 1 YEAR of graduation and 235 lei for other persons).
*Resumption of membership*
Resumption of membership is done based on an application, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, requesting the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.

*Request for the Current Professional Certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:
According to the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the implementing rules published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the chief position), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country.
The methodology for the preparation and issuance of the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of the C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 dated 15.05.2007.
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard form for the preparation and issuance of the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania who will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in that county – and will hand them over to the applicants under signature of receipt.
