Granting social assistance and allowance for family support*
Granting social assistance to single persons/families with incomes not exceeding the guaranteed minimum income.
The mayor's order regarding the granting, non-granting, modification, suspension, cessation of the rights provided by this law, the change of their beneficiary, as well as the corresponding decisions of the executive director, including those concerning the recovery of undue amounts received, may be challenged according to the provisions of the Administrative Litigation Law no. 554/2004, with subsequent amendments and additions.
The granting of the family support allowance aims to supplement family incomes in order to ensure better conditions for the upbringing and education of children, as well as to encourage school-aged children, who are in the care of low-income families, to attend educational classes.

Granting of state allowance for children*
The state allowance for children is granted to all children up to the age of 18, without discrimination. The state allowance for children is also granted to young people who have reached the age of 18, who attend high school or vocational education courses, organized according to the law, until their completion, except for those who repeat the school year, except for those who repeat for health reasons, proven by a medical certificate.
Children of foreign citizens and stateless persons residing in Romania, under the conditions of the law, also benefit from the state allowance for children, if they live together with their parents.
This right can be requested by either of the child's natural parents, as well as the person who has adopted a child, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

Granting assistance for home heating during the cold season*
Based on O.U.G no. 70/2011 regarding social protection measures during the cold season, with amendments and additions, as well as H.G. no. 920/2011 for approving the Methodological Norms for applying O.U.G. no. 70/2011, families and single persons from Grădinari commune whose average monthly net income per family member does not exceed 750 lei, can submit requests and self-declarations for granting heating aid for homes with natural gas, electric energy and/or wood, petroleum fuels.
