In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of Nurses, Midwives and Medical Assistants of Romania, as the competent authority, prepares and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the professional recognition of Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant in the other EU Member States.

The activities of attesting the Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant in the other EU Member States consist of preparing and issuing documents, hereinafter called attestation documents, used by the authorities of the other EU Member States, countries belonging to the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation for the professional recognition of these titles according to the procedures provided in Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, with subsequent amendments and completions.Where applicable, attestation documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online applications for issuing the documents necessary for the professional recognition of the aforementioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the corresponding documents, are to be submitted via PCUe to the county branch/the Bucharest Municipality branch of OAMGMAMR, where the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT acquired the status of member of OAMGMAMR, the application is submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch in whose territorial radius the applicant resides.

If the applicant does not attach all the requested documents or it is found that the file is incomplete, the applicant will be notified through the PCUe system. Within 15 days from notification, the applicant is required to complete the file with all the requested documents. If the applicant does not comply with the completion deadline, at the expiration of this period, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.

The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the specialized structure of OAMGMAMR National, and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, will be sent online to the applicants through PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR where they submitted the electronic file.
