The professional foster carer is the natural person, certified, employed by the general directorate of social assistance and child protection, who provides at their domicile or, as the case may be, at their residence, the upbringing, care, and education of the child during the application of the special protection measure of foster care, emergency foster care for the child separated, temporarily or permanently, from their parents or, as the case may be, during the respite period of another foster carer.

Persons residing in Călărași county, interested in becoming a professional foster carer, submit to the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Călărași a capacity evaluation request, accompanied by the documents mentioned below.

The certificate is issued by the Commission for Child Protection Călărași.
